Web 2.0 came with the promise of connecting the world, and while that may have been true, it has come at a cost. Many of these platforms monetize our attention and make people addicted to consuming content, instead of creating value.

Additionally, even though these platforms benefit massively from the network effect of their user base, these same users receive little upside while their privacy and data are exploited.

It’s time for us to build a space that aligns our incentives: a platform that rewards us for building, creating and learning. Instead of a platform that owns you, you own the platform. This is what DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations) allow for, and we are building the tools to help them succeed.

Our mission is to build a community-led platform that fosters collaboration between contributors and organizations, while letting users own equity in the universe they help construct.

Here’s our plan to achieve this in three seasons:

Season 1: Private alpha launch for MVP

Build the infrastructure for DAO coordination.

• Task management which then allows orgs to pay contributors according to the value of the task completed in their token of choice.
• Fine grained permission setting for teams with large contributor bases and decentralized governance structures
• Token gated access to organizations, pods, and resources within a DAO
• Social timeline and kudos to highlight work done by contributors
• Analytics for DAOs to better understand their productivity and contributor satisfaction
• Seamless contributor onboarding for DAOs through onboarding tasks and standardrized interface
• Contributor profiles that showcases their contributions to different DAOs

Season 2: Create value for the community

• Enable users to openly launch DAOs on Wonder’s platform
• Establish task metadata standard and option to publish task on-chain through Ceramic
